carlsson
On Saturday, September 29 we are arranging this year's edition of Retrogathering, an annual retro gaming and computing expo since 2006. This year we have two international guests in form of Rob Fulop who probably doesn't need any further presentation on this forum, as well as Terry Diebold who makes a visit to showcase the Nintendo PlayStation prototype. We also have Gunnar Lindberg who was the editor of the Swedish magazine called Nintendo-Magasinet, once with 50.000 subscribers plus 15.000 copies sold in the newsstands. Since Rob visits us, we'll showcase some of the Imagic games plus that one of our crew members displays some of his huge collection of Software Projects games, including but not limited to all the Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy titles for every computer you could imagine. There will also be a market with some 60 tables and vendors selling retro games and systems, t-shirts, merchandise and more, plus that we'll host an auction. Our gaming section will consist of some 25 different consoles and computers, plus a small selection of arcade games provided by a partner. The gaming competitions will include a highscore competition in Night Driver on the Atari 2600 and of course the inofficial Swedish championship in Atari Hockey-Pong. Location: Växhuset, VästeråsDate: Saturday, September 29Opening hours: 10-18 (members in our association get in at 9:30)Entrance: 100 SEK Website in Swedish: http://retrogathering.se/?page_id=4469
carlsson
Now we're done, the afterparty is over, only thing that remains is the cleaning up. Good show by our means, about 1000 visitors which is small compared to the really big events but enough for us to handle.
