I was thinking, the first person to correctly guess(or come close to) the actual date, time and forum that my 3,000th post occurs, will win something. Now, I haven't figured out what that something will be yet, but I'm searching my trade box for some games to give away. Anyway, you gotta guess the following: -Time -Date -Location(which forum?) And the first person to guess correctly(or come close to) about my 3,000th post will win something. Contest ends when my 3,000th post is achieved. Winner will be notified by Email or PM. Thanks. Brad2600 Posted June 10, 2003 Author Share Posted June 10, 2003 I have thought about throwing this in for a prize: 4 port 5200 with switchbox and controllers that can be rebuilt. The switchbox will be tinkered with to assure that it works. Whoever wins will need to get a power supply. The 5200 works as I tested it with the power supply and switchbox from my other 5200. A boxed copy of Pac-Man will be thrown in..box condition is good...but not perfect. If it sounds good, gimme your best shots! Edit: Whoever wins may have to pay for shipping..I'm not positive and I will probably throw it in myself. Also remember, you'll need to get a controller rebuilt or find a new one plus a power supply. I am working on the switchbox now to try and get it fixed. 2nd edit: Switchbox is now repaired and works..though the wire at it is a bit bent at an angle..but it does work Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Umm, when I reach 3,000 posts, I'll let whoever gets the closest(or correct) guess know and I'll get the 5200 packed and I'll dig up the controller I was going to include. Remember, whoever wins will have to get a power supply and get the controller rebuilt. MrRetroGamer rebuilds controllers and I'll make sure to include the one that can be easily rebuilt. If you win and decide you'd rather get a new controller and don't want the broken one, let me know. The switchbox does work. However, the tip of the wire at the end of it is a bit bent but when I put it into the cable input on my TV, it powered up. If he monitors what you are doing (e.g. using the Who is Online page), it's easy to guess the right time and even for the right forum. If you don't allow guessing after e.g. your 2,990th post this cheat won't work anymore. BTW: While I am writing this, you are browsing the OT forum. Correction: Now you are in the Forum Index. Gateway Posted June 12, 2003 Share Posted June 12, 2003 Calm down, Kepone. You don't need to get defensive. This contest idea is fine. I like Thomas's idea ( of stopping guesses after post 2990 ). Right now, you are still in the 2970's so anybody could wait until you are within 5 posts or closer of #3000 and then "snipe" like Thomas said. So, it's just a suggestion to set a certain time or event when you won't accept any new guesses. In the end, it is up to you how you want to proceed( if you keep the contest going. ) Take care!
