Ramses
Gravitar: 11,450 Xybots: 82,800 Xybots is one I've been meaning to sit down and try out for quite some time. Not bad.
youxia
Now we're talking! Both are amazing games, pure arcade fun. Gravitar sure is a bit ridiculous when it comes to difficulty. You mean I have 20 secs to shoot the reactor (managed that) AND escape as well? Yeah right Plus, it's a vertical game, so on my CRT quite a pain to display properly. Still, I totally love this Lunar Lander-type games. Might consider remapping the buttons though. Xybots is awesome, like wild mash up of Doom and Berserk...can see getting into it no problem. AtariWarlord
I agree Xybots is awesome. I've never heard of it before either. I'm scared of Gravitar even if I do manage to get it working.

Leto27
Gravitar 7250 points, I always like the mechanic of these type of games ( lunar lander (arcade), Subterranea (Genesis), Solar Jetman (NES) ) Xybots 96600 points, this game defines the term smart buyer ( so little money to spend in so much needed things)

Cynicaster
Xybots is pretty cool, I remember playing it at the local convenience store back when it came out. My main gripe with it is I really dislike the concept of "continuously drain your health regardless of whether you get hit or not." It's effectively a timer, ticking away to make you put in another quarter to reset it. Other games that do this are Gauntlet and Blasteroids, and honestly, it makes me not want to bother with these games. It's a shame because the games are pretty cool otherwise. Xybots - 86,200 Gravitar - 13,550 (#4 on the board, the top score is old... guess I'm out of practice)
youxia
Gravitar: 22,450 / 29,050 Xybots: 96,700after There are two scores in Gravitar because that devious game glitched out when I was entering my initials for 29,050 and all of a sudden I was entering initials for my previous HS (the 22,450) It was beyond bizarre, neve mind infuriating - especially seeing as taking these 2 planets out (NE then NW) was nerve wracking. So it's up to you, either take my word for it, or go with the screenshot Despite this snafu I totally love Gravitar, it's totally amazing and I wish I had one more week and a real arcade cab - playing on a pad and fighting overscan on my CRT was a bit of a pain in the ass, seeing as this game demands absolute control. Xybots is fun too, though the cruel energy drain makes the runs quite desperate, plus HS a matter of luck too - if you get "easy" levels first it's not so bad, otherwise...well.
