StephenJ
I play my HD retro systems on a large computer monitor. Since the monitor has no audio capabilities, I have to connect the systems through an HD Audio Extractor. This device passes the HD video through to the monitor, while providing an audio-out for powered speakers. It works great for my NES Classic and Retron 5, but not with the FB9 Gold. The system would start-up fine and I'm able to navigate the menu. But when I attempted to play any game, the screen would go blank for a moment, and then return to the menu. Thinking the system was defective, I returned it to the store for an exchange...after all, my other systems worked fine. To my surprise, the exchanged system did the same thing. I then tried hooking-up the system to a regular TV (admittedly something I should have done with the first one) and it worked fine. I am not being critical of the FB9 Gold...I'm just puzzled. Maybe one of the more tech-savvy folks here on AA could explain why this happened. FWIW, StephenJ
