TIX
Any tips about editing the cut scenes ? any tool available to see the whole image ?
+MrFish
So I searched $02C3 in hackomatic and I get this.. I'm not sure what should I change now... As I said, $02C3 an offset -- not a value in the file -- where Taizo's color can be set. Any tips about editing the cut scenes ? any tool available to see the whole image ? I haven't looked into the cutscene graphics yet.

Magic Knight
Great transition! Question - (Level 3 at end on the video) I thought should have ended once the last cherry was obtained? A bug in the game? Amazing whats been done :0) Edited February 22, 2019 by Magic Knight
TIX
Thanks guys the next wip will have the ghost Pookas and the lives indicator icon , it will probably be the last (unless I find a way to edit the cut scenes) In the final version I'm going with blue Taizo and blue Fygars.. +MrFish
Question - (Level 3 at end on the video) I thought should have ended once the last cherry was obtained? A bug in the game? Nope... watch at about 2:54 when a Pooka pushes an apple in front of one of the cherries. This can be done in the arcade game too. it will probably be the last (unless I find a way to edit the cut scenes) What, no rocks??
TIX
. . What, no rocks?? I have the rocks ready, I have to hack them in ! I'm also thinking of changing the cherries with something else.. maybe rubies ?? Kind request since I'm clueless, can you fix me with a blue Taizo only version ? +MrFish
Kind request since I'm clueless, can you fix me with a blue Taizo only version ? I told you the offset into the file. All you need to do is go to that location and put the value of the blue you want to use there.
+MrFish
Notice the column on the left labeled "Address"? Those are offsets into the file. All it means is what byte you're at in the file. The one highlighted is $02C3, where Taizo's color lives. You change the HEX value on the right. $34 is the value for red. In the other file, I changed it to $98, which is medium blue. TIX
I'm probably wrong, and should go read a book about Atari graphics modes.. but I believe the apples share colors (playfield colors) with the cherries and the Pukas.. so I wonder can we have brown or gray rocks without ruining the red on the cherries and especially the Pukas ? If that's not possible, we will end up with weird colored rocks Edited February 22, 2019 by TIX
+MrFish
Oh, I don't know if red rocks are so bad; I used them in my conceptualization for a new Dig Dug.

tschak909
@mrfish - is that antic mode 4? -Thom
+MrFish
@mrfish - is that antic mode 4? Yeah, Antic 4, with P/M's for the rock highlights, carrot highlights, and for Dig Dug's blue. The 4th/5th colors are the dirt and green (or white could be used instead of green too). Dirt of course changes with DLI's. TIX
I don't know yet... I'll probably go with only red with black shadows
TIX
I'm pretty pleased with this dithered rock.. it's not so garish as the green/red combinations I tried (white is out of the question), some shaping and cleaning needed, and on with the hack Edited February 23, 2019 by TIX
_The Doctor__
Oh, I don't know if red rocks are so bad; I used them in my conceptualization for a new Dig Dug. digdug.png we need/want this... that's correct it is beyond a want, we need it now
+MrFish
The 4th/5th colors are the dirt and green (or white could be used instead of green too). Ah, this is wrong; I forgot that the white ghosts need to float through the dirt; so, white can't be the 4th or 5th color; the 4th & 5th colors have to be the dirt and green.
