asponge
The game for this round is Snake Rattle n Roll. The object of each level is to increase your snake's tail by eating various colored balls called Nibbley Pibbleys. When the tail is long enough, it will begin to flash. Move your snake onto the scale to ring the bell and open a door to the next level. Check out the manual for more details and scoring information. mbd30
Oh boy, this is a tough one. I love Marble Madness but I pretty much suck at every other isometric style game, lol. I think stage 4 is the furthest I've gotten.

mr_intv
35300 This is a tough one. The controls take a bit of practice for sure

mbd30
Okay, the first three stages are fairly easy with some practice. I need to get better at stage 4.
asponge
Okay, the first three stages are fairly easy with some practice. I need to get better at stage 4. I had to watch a youtube video to figure out stage 4. The last couple of times I played I kept running out of time trying to find a path to the scale. I ultimately got near the end of stage five, but couldn't get past this weird disappearing flying carpet.
mbd30
I reached stage 5 on my last life a couple times and then finally reached it with a decent number of lives. A neat trick for stage 4 is that you can open the door by having an anvil land on the scale. But you'll still want to eat as many balls as you can for points. mbd30
Okay, I reached stage 6. That last magic carpet is the only real hard part of stage 5.
asponge
I made to stage six with zero lives and beefed it on the second jump.
mbd30
I made to stage six with zero lives and beefed it on the second jump. Stage 6 is tough. I got a little ways in it, but not much. I love the graphics and music in this game, and the sheer inventiveness. The pseudo-3D effect is top notch for the NES. It's just balls hard. mbd30
I made it to near the end of stage 6 using continues. This is where the platforming and enemies get ridiculous. I know that the later stages have ice physics. *shudder* Edited February 16, 2019 by mbd30

mbd30
I reached stage 7 without continuing but no big boost in score. I was just playing straight through without doing much to farm points. I'd like to reach stage 8 because it's very lucrative points-wise from what I've seen.
asponge
I got to stage six with 9 lives this time. Made it through to stage 7 and died trying to retrieve the 5,000 point bonus on the waterfall.

mbd30
I managed to reach stage 7 with a bunch of lives. Again playing straight through without much in the way of point pressing. The water spouts at the end of stage 7 are the worst, ugh. Edited February 18, 2019 by mbd30
mbd30
I finally reached stage 8 without using continues. Hurrah. I have stage 6 down. Stage 7 is still tough. Stage 8 is just annoying trying to line up with the fish. Edited February 20, 2019 by mbd30
