I think you have to choose the option to get a cartridge.
oORaydenOo
That must be a joke....why on earth should i buy this thing without the casing? This option really should be more clear on the website...
+groundtrooper
I am assuming that you paid $39 or $59 if you got the encore. There are now 2 ways to get a Harmony Cart. Bare board and you provide the cartridge shell. Or you pay an extra $10 to the previously mentioned prices and the PCB is placed in a modified cartridge shell. I would assume you didn't pay the extra $10 for the shell. In the past, the Harmony always came in a shell. With new competition with the Uno cart Batari needed to move some overstock in boards so he started offering a cheaper version that wasn't installed in the cart shell. It appears that is what you paid for.

+groundtrooper
***EDIT*** Sorry this was being replied to before I saw your other reply. I am not trying to RUB anything in. Just pointing out that it seems to be spelled out That must be a joke....why on earth should i buy this thing without the casing? This option really should be more clear on the website... The picture above seems to spell it out very clear. It states that it is now sold as a Circuit Board and that you need to pay $10 to have it installed in a cartridge.
oORaydenOo
is there a way to order the casing?
+groundtrooper
is there a way to order the casing? I don't know. You probably would need to emai or PM Batari.
paulderr
I ordered mine a few weeks ago. The new way they are delivered is like you bought. It was cheaper than previously. You can use a duplicate or cheap Cartridge or 3D print one to put the circuit board in and then add the label. You will have to cut the usb and sd card slots. I got mine in the cart. During checkout there was an option to add a an instruction manual and or a case. The case would have been a $10 upgrade. I didn't feel like pulling apart an original game cart or 3D Printing one so I paid the $10. Maybe you can order just the case if you contact them. paulderr
It does say it clearly on their website that it now comes as a Circuit board and you will need to put it in your own case or purchase it separately like Dragonstomper pointed out above. I have overlooked things like this before too. So I understand your frustration. But it is pretty easy to take a $1 crap game and swap out the circuit boards and then slap on the new label if you want it. There is always the option of using the 2600 label creator and making your own better looking label. I will probably do that in the near future. Claire Voyant
I have only just come across the harmony cartridge, I have obviously been living in the DarkAge rather than the AtariAge for the last ten years ? I am currently waiting not very patiently for the filling to put in this sandwich.
