8 or 16 bits graphics?

An 256 CLUT for both the the map and the bg would result in excessive color banding and drab, pixelated rocks. An HDMI screenshot/ capture would show how smooth and colorful the 16 bit image really is.

Day 4... No longer have to draw points on the map, we have tracking objects for the gravity modifiers and the turrets!

Everything now also procedural, so nice and easy to add more turrets/gravmods.... I guess player shots next!

Great potential here.

Huge fan of Thrust at the time..picked up on 800XL-C64-ST and GBA.

Threw screwed up the sequel though

Oids on ST

Subterrinea on MD

And more recently Gravity Crash on PSN.

Looking forward to future developments with this one.

This was supposed to be pretty good on the Amiga as well:

That looks amazing.

Awesome job dodging that missile by a hair around the 50 second mark at the very bottom of the screen btw. That was some slick piloting.

Thanks - although it does help that there isn't any player/object collision detection yet :)

It's only a single RAPTOR call though, so no big deal to add that and this makes testing a little bit easier. Couple more things to add and then we'll try and make a playable level. Not sure I can keep the daily updates coming, got a busy week ahead.

I could imagine once collisions, lifes and limited fuel are there it requires master skills in dodging and landing to complete this small level. And we want much larger maps!

Yes, those missiles are AMAZING :)

I have to say, I love the look of the graphics. They look hand drawn and colored. I'm looking forward to seeing this one finished. The more of your games I see here at AA, the more my wallet is cringing lol. Impossamole, Xenon 2, and Last Strike especially have my attention. And now add Thrusty Thing to that list too. I'm looking forward to seeing this game evolve.

Oids is what I always think of. Loved that game, after it was patched to work with the Jaguar pad I realized how bad I am now at the game though.

This looks amazing and already looks like one I'll have to get when it's ready.
