+OLD CS1
It is my hope to bring a bunch of Amiga peeps together at this year's VCF-SE. The organizer, Earl, has expressed his willingness to co-lo an Amiga event. This year's VCF-SE is the weekend of April 27. I have reached out to a number of Amiga people to whom I know to reach. Jens with Individual Computers responded that he would be unable to make it. I am not terribly hopeful for this year so I am looking toward next year, instead. I do not plan to wait for the event date announcement but rather will start getting tentative commitments together. Being that I am not deeply involved with the Amiga Gods I lack direct contact points for a lot of Amiga vendors and developers, and it is clear I cannot rely on an Amiga.org forum post to bring people in. South-eastern U.S. severely lacks Amiga activities. There is all sorts of stuff in the western, north-central, and north-eastern areas. The idea of a southern or south-eastern event has been bandied about for a long time and I think we need to get moving on it. I would greatly appreciate spreading the word on this idea and helping me get into contact with some players to help get the movement going.
