Tinkered with the opening music and the "Basestar (originally Nomad) sequence and here is what I came up with. When you destroy the Cylon basestar (Nomad sequence) it plays the brief Baltar's theme/Cylon march. Bsg3b.BIN <--- Game with music hacks. Awesome idea for a Battlestar Galactica game Jamcat! doctorclu Posted April 4, 2019 Share Posted April 4, 2019 While I loved the musical score for the basestar (boss) levels, I kicked myself on what I originally did on the opening screen. I'm happy with this version... Bsg4.BIN (forgive the choppiness... that is the computer running emulation and recording. And the flicker effect, well, you know about that... difficult to record. doctorclu Posted November 9, 2019 Share Posted November 9, 2019 Since the Zeropage Homebrew Awards are no longer featuring hacks, I no longer have to hold back till after the beginning of the year for a hack I did of this one that Jamcat started. Continue on a cool idea Jamcat had and let some people enjoy this. I've hacked and hacked this game. Hacked the music, hacked the character in the radar to look more Viper like, hacked the radar to be more green like in the show, hacked the number fonts to look more like those used for BSG. Bsg12.bin What next? Maybe hack the font again to the number font used in the radar screens. At this point what I would really like to see is the radar on the BOTTOM of the screen, and the view screen on the TOP. Much like the picture below. I think that would make the game a lot more like the show. (Concept picture) Maybe even move the score at the bottom of the screen underneath the radar. Anyway, in the meantime, enjoy!
