New version of uIPTool released

Recommended Posts

We have released new version of our productivity tool named uIPTool, which can shorten your development time on Atari TOS machines significantly and is quite handy for transferring files.

With the help of cartridge based ethernet card (Netusbee/Ethernec) you can easily deploy binary built on PC with cross compiler and quickly transfer them via local network to Atari TOS machine and execute it remotely. Additionally all Atari console input / output is redirected to console on PC which is quite handy during development. Tool requires minimal amount of memory and it can run on Atari models with even 512kib of ram. Full write up about what's new is on nokturnal. More information and download section is on an official project page.

We have reduced memory requirements significantly, so it should run even on models with 512kib of ram which wasn't possible on previous version.

Regards,

PG

Howdy - I'm trying to download uip_tool (really excited to have my first NetUSBee experience, as I am currently stuck on floppies!!) but the links report a DNS error accessing (what looks like) an S3 bucket.   Is this a "Me" problem, or affecting others as well?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Something is not right because UPIV310 is over 50K bytes in size not 16K.  Maybe it's zipped?

I don't think that is the reason ! Both files (v310 v311) contain "Info: This file is packed with the UPX executable packer http://upx.sf.net" in the beginning

New versions a bit confusing tbh. Have been using v310 since release.

The 311 version attached above bombs out on my ST and is not listed on the official download repository https://bitbucket.org/sqward/uip-tools/downloads/

The 2 new version on the official download page above don't follow the previous versioning :

uip-usb-master.tos - bombs out on my ST

uip-netusbee-master.tos - works fine and displays UIP v382 on my ST, faster than previous and add new create folder in web interface (haven't tested any DEV features)

Hope this help others.

Thanks for letting me know about the size, I didn't realise it must have got corrupted and that's the one I copied to

my STE, I thought the NetUSBEE had gone duff on the network side, USB is fine. I searched my other disks and found

a 50K one, copied it across and now NetUSBEE works.

I'm just surprised the 16K one didn't bomb, it ran and just returned to the desktop, really odd.
