I'm creating this thread to provide a public place to give feedback for the new forum, and where I can list all the issues and their current status.  

 

• Test/fix Twitter/Facebook integration  Completed
• Add Google oauth login support  Completed
• Fix issue with "Create" menu not showing Status Updates and Blogs 
• Fix dark blue Club titles on main Club index
• Online Status for members when viewing threads
• OP tag for viewing threads
• Add text Messenger link at top somewhere
• Add proper AtariAge logo on Deflection, Dimension, and Invision skins
• Add Atari-related graphic to top of Dimension skin
• Fix issue with menu popups disappearing too easily when trying to mouse over them. 
• Look for more condensed third-party skin (IPS Focus?)
• Look for enhancements to Status Updates (being able to see replies on front page, being able to reply, etc.)
• Add "Unread Topics" link that just shows threads with new posts since last visit?
• Look to see if there are keyboard shortcuts (Cmd-Enter can be used to submit a post)
• Look for post # mod for thread view
• Speed up loading of Emoji?
• Look at disabling AJAX in areas (thread view?)  Completed (disabled AJAX when navigating pages in threads)
• Fix line above signatures (make line thinner, tighter to signature)
• Configure and enable Downloads module
• Look for mod to allow hiding of sidebar?
• Fix increased profile photo size for Subscribers
• Add ability to click on last breadcrumb item to load the same page
• Reimplement Indefinite Post editing for specific posts  Completed
• Reimplement Indefinite Post Editing in specific forums  Completed
• Add ability to search by author in Messenger  Completed
• Check to see if Likes are carried over to Reactions
• Default to jump to first unread post when "Clicking Unread Items"
• Investigate Discord integration
• Remove blue borders from Activity Stream condensed view (desktop)
• Work on condensing views in mobile skin
• Work on condensing some views in desktop skin
• Install Ignore Topics plugin  Completed
• Add links to Validating Users page in ACP
• Purchase and install Issue Tracking software
• Investigate and possibly reinstall Tapatalk
• Fix color of "Choose files" link for attachments in editor
• Look at restoring post numbers in threads
• Look at restoring page numbers in Activity Streams
• Create .htaccess to convert old forum links into new (if possible)
• Investigate localized date / time formatting
• Restore message body content to text-only notification emails?
• Install Member Map
• Fix AtariAge logo in skin so it links back to main site instead of forums
• Bring back [ebay] bbcode processing in some fashion
• Replace [ hr ] tags with blank lines in selected blog posts, see Random Terrain's post for more information
• Find plugin to add Attachment icon prefix back to thread titles in forum view  Completed
• Sort "Who's Online" user list in alphabetical order
• Add RSS Feeds (Activity Streams already have RSS feeds)

 

I may install a third-party issue tracker to make this more organized.  Could also be very useful for homebrew developers for feature and bug tracking.

I am guessing that this upgrade isn't compatible with Tapatalk? 

 

I don't get notifications and can't get any threads to load. 

 

So Chrome for iOS it is. But I think that screws me over for mobile notifications.

It is, but I have had numerous problems with Tapatalk in the past, so I want to do some reading on the current version to see what known problems exist.

I'm not sure what you mean?  You mean you're not getting notifications from Tapatalk?

You're right, without Tapatalk you won't get the typical iOS notifications.  You can get email notifications, though. 

 

I probably will install Tapatalk.  I've been holding off on installing many plugins until the background tasks finish their work, which should hopefully be this weekend.

Re:Notifications - To clarify - Haven't got any Atari Age notifications from Tapatalk since the switch which makes sense if you don't have the plugin loaded for Tapatalk.

Re:Threads - Again, I think because you don't have the Tapatalk plugin loaded Tapatalk isn't loading anything from AA. I can see the main threads that I am following in Tapatalk but it is not loading any posts from those followed threads. 

 

I will have rely on Gmail notifications and I have been getting those, and before the upgrade I would get mobile Tapatalk and emails, so I will have one less distracting notification for everyone that is sent.  

 

Thanks for the info. So far I love the upgrade. Lots of fun new things and improvements of other things.
