Flojomojo
I just stumbled onto this gif, which combines two of my favorite things from the end of the 1980s. I guess someone made it because they both use the motorola 68000 processor?
DragonGrafx-16
Genesis > Mac... I mean the Mac doesn't even have blast processing!
+-^CrossBow^-
Actually the Mac did have blast processing as the Macs used the same 68k processor as the Genesis only clocked at 10mhz vs the Genesis 7.xx it runs at. So... the Mac might have been better but the Genesis has the better games between the two.
Osgeld
back in the day I lived in a tiny studio apartment, I hocked my TV for some spending money on a weekend trip but I had a powermac 8500 which had composite & Svideo and a big trinatron VGA screen (along with my main computer) so I used that for my PS2 and Genesis along with some light mac gaming (as it was an obsolete machine even 20 years ago)
+DrVenkman
The only 68K machines I ever had BITD were my 1040ST (from the summer of 1986 until 1992 or so), and my Genesis, from 1990 through about 1994 or '95. Haven't owned another 68K-based machine again until this week - a just picked up a very nice Genny model 1, two almost-unused 3-button controllers, AC adapter, RF cable/switchbox and a few common games from a collector friend who found it at an estate sale recently. This weekend I'll be enjoying Sonic on a CRT again for the first time in almost 30 years.
