Whoever enters the contest must ante up or wager a cartridge (no repeats). The host of the contest would then go through a series of questions or riddles to see who eventually wins all of the cartridges in the pile. Meanwhile, those who have entered must ante up more cartridges for each riddle - resulting in a hefty prize for the winner. I haven't worked out the idea very well. There is a well respected board member who hasn't posted much lately because of some trouble with the phone company. My idea is to have a raffle, to build up enough funds to pay off the phone company and get him back online and posting here regularly again. But there is a matter of the raffle prize. What would be a good idea that people would actually buy a 2 or 5$ ticket for? (Nothing huge, obviously) Also, I'm not well known on the boards. This sort of contest would require someone who is pretty well respected and trusted to collect and hold the money gathered from tickets. Then I was thinking that we could leave it up to one of the mods, or Albert to do the actually draw the name out of a hat. So, is this something that anyone would be interested in taking on and trying? Would people buy a ticket if the prize was right? And what exactly should the prize be?
