Does the Jaguar hardware allow for an IGR (in game reset) or reset to menu? I'm currently using a remote power switch to turn the Jaguar on and off but I'm not sure if this will damage my system in the long run.

Oh well it's not a deal breaker. Do you know how safe it would be to power a jaguar on and off remotely with a switch?

I have my Jaguar hooked up to one of those cheap wifi power strips controlled by a phone app so I can hard reset it from anywhere. It's not causing me any issues so far. AFAIK, it's likely less bad than repeatedly toggling the actual power switch, which might wear the switch out but otherwise is more or less doing the exact same thing: Opening or closing a connection in a circuit.

Would it be possible to somehow implement a visual of the joypad keypad overlays, either in the game select menu or maybe somekind of overlay whilst playing a game (using somekind of combo keypress on the joypad) ?

It’s not possible to have overlays, no. It’s not an emulator.

 

I don’t really see the point in having them in the game menu either as you will have forgotten them by the time you get to the game?

 

You’d be better off searching for it on your phone while playing so you can reference it.

It would be really cool if we could run the Jaguar CD bios or bios opening screen when running jag CD games. Plus VLM would be a nice extra too 🙂

If it could be done in the game menu that would be cool, a quick and easy instant refresher before booting the game would be enough, would be nice to have everything all in one place.

 

Personally, I hate having to Google controls for games (like special moves for fighting games etc), the source of info often disappears, I play these machines in infrequent bursts, so it would make it easier to pick up the next time I play.
