DEATH
Did anyone test the 5-clock clock timing for ROM access with the SD Card? I think if someone manages to run Battlesphere Gold, then it certainly means that the SD card accepts 5 cycles because Battlesphere Gold changes the access speed to 5 from the very beginning. Tursi
No, it doesn't. It doesn't change the access speed nor the bus width from the BIOS setting.
Tursi
Hmm... digging a bit deeper, seems like I may have misremembered there. Now I need to figure out what the hell I was looking at. Disregard!
DEATH
I quickly looked at the ROM a while ago, and it seems to me that they were changing the ROM speed access.
DEATH
Here -> 82F25E: 0079 0018 00F0 0000 OR.W #$18, MEMCON1 Bit 3&4 of MEMCOM1, value 3 = 5 cycles And this is right after the Joystick test subroutine at the beginning.
Tursi
Yeah, I was wrong. It turns out what surprised me was that it doesn't change bus width - at the time I just assumed anyone who bothered to set one would set both. I dug into it myself last night too, since posting wrong information on the internet is a dangerous thing!
Higgy
Battlesphere Gold boots to a red Jag screen. I have not tried the ROM on an emulator to check it is ok though.
