I received an Atari 810 disk drive.
I think it's a MPI version because it has a "garage" door.
Is it normal that there's no spring-loaded close/eject mechanism?
I have to manually insert and remove the floppy disk.
It is easily fixable?

After cleaning the plastic slide of debris with compressed air followed by adjusting the descender and catch band with ever so slight tweak bends you will have a working eject again.
the adjustment with too little pressure won't pull the catch band up... and with too much pressure won't leave the catch band go...
The scribble below on the left is too little and the scribble on the right is about where it should be
if you push it too far to the right it will have too m
