Тимур Лязгиев
Metal Blast 2277 - comics style Run'n'Gun (+ side-scrolling shooter) for Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. 2277 year. Space Invaders. One hero! Advance your character by eliminating the enemies which appear. Finish off the boss at the end of each stage to clear it and advance to the next level. drludos
Your project looks cool, congrats! It feels like Contra but with a "Duke Nukem" character :)

This game is for 1 player. I will let you know when it will be possible to buy on eBay. I could make a new clone of Contra. But I do not have access to Kickstarter or Indiegogo. I would have had $ 3,000 in funding for the entire project. There is no artist or composer. Therefore, it makes no sense. No entry. That is hypocrisy. =( Edited November 3, 2019 by Тимур Лязгиев

CatPix
This looks very nice Interetingly your graphics looks more like SVGA computer graphics than Megadrive ones, but that isn't a bad thing at all, at least for me. Multiple scrolling background, detailled ennemies, lots of fluid, smooth animations. It's great! Let me know when you get those for sale :3

Тимур Лязгиев
Release! BUY - https://www.ebay.com/itm/223762219793 $32 + $10 Shipping Tell everyone who wanted to buy. My latest project has been in work since 2017, and it has already entered the final stage of production. This new game is a homebrew "Contra: Hard Corps" clone with many original elements and gameplay-changing mechanics. For example, the player character has no control over the jump physics, like in classic action platformers, such as "Castlevania". The graphics rely heavily on the classic comics style, with clearly outlined silhouettes and text balloons, like in the well-known Sega Genesis / Mega Drive platformer, "Boogerman". The gameplay makes use of two separate genres: the platform shooter and the scroll shooter. There are 11 levels overall, and every level has its own boss at the end. Two levels let the player control a rocket scooter, and there is also a level that features a hoverboard that the player can master - just like in "Back to the Future". The soundtrack for the game is composed by a friend of mine, and features over 15 long, vibrant and expressive chiptune melodies specifically created for this project.

His ebay listing where he is selling it from lists both Genesis and Megadrive as it is region free so should work either way. Now he doesn't state it is optimized for NTSC as well as PAL but it should play either way.
Тимур Лязгиев
NTSC 60 Hz recommended. For Sega Genesis. But you can run on any console. There will be incorrect music speed or slow gameplay. Test the demo in the emulator. Regen or Fusion 3.64. The game is poorly emulated. Cheats do not work on Fusion 3.64. Yurkie
Тимур Лязгиев you seem like you can really program well. Any plans for other games? How about old arcade games? Q*Bert? With all the homebrew games I have wanted arcade ports for the Sega Genesis for years.

CatPix
I ordered one, and shared the info on a French retrogaming group. +-^CrossBow^-
What resolution does the main gameplay itself use? I'm asking because the video mode you are using doesn't seem to like the OSSC very much. It woks, but has some craziness with the image. I'm able to use my 256 mode and get the picture to be stable, but then I can't seem to adjust the H Sync settings at all on my TV/OSSC setup in that profile mode without having some out of focus like effect on the left and right. I don’t quite understand what it is about ... Sega Genesis has only 2 modes: 320x224 (240 on PAL) and 256x224 (240 on PAL). This game always uses 320x224. The screensavers have a switch to the VDP mode Shadow and highlight - is controlled by mode register 4 (register $0C).
+-^CrossBow^-
You are saying the game is all coded in 320x224 mode? That is including your title screens? Because the title screen and menu option comes up looking great through the OSSC. But once I start a game and the title card for Stage 1 or 2..etc comes up, the graphics immediately go into some strange mode or effect that either the OSSC doesn't like or perhaps my Genesis? I will try and get some video footage to show what it does.

Problems with scenes where there is scrolling / parallax? There is not a single emulator that reproduces the game well. The most accurate - blastem. He has problems with the speed of sound. But the graphics are as accurate as possible on the hardware behavior. This means that RetroN 5 and similar consoles cannot work correctly with the game. They have an emulator. And the emulator does not work with the game correctly. Is OSSC a hardware emulation? I have not tested the game on such consoles. I recommend Genesis 1-3. Mega Drive (European) has problems with fps - 50 hz.
