calico1997
So I noticed the Atari Flashback X is now up on the Atgames web site. I assume it will be on the market around November 15th 2019. While I love that they finally made a mini console that actually looks right, it appears from the owners manual that there is no longer an SD card slide like on the Flashback 9, meaning no way to run additional ROMs on it. Bummer! (pardon me if this is already mentioned in another thread somewhere) AtariFlashbackXManual.pdf

There's a standard version, with 110 games, and a special Sam's Club edition with 120 games. There's no SD card slot, but you can still do a simple hack to let you add more games: https://armchairarcade.com/perspectives/2019/10/21/atari-flashback-x-2019-upgrade-to-support-external-usb-drives/
calico1997
Wow, nice to see there's already a procedure for this. But it's a lot more than popping in an SD card. Thanks for all the great information Sir!

This hack puts the X back on the table for me. I wasn't interested in a cosmetic upgrade without an sd card option but this might tip the scales to buy the X and mod it, especially with better paddle support.
WAVE 1 GAMES
I have the Flashback 9, it doesn't have an SD slot either. Not sure what you mean????
Krathoon
The instructions have changed for this. Now AT Games is saying to put the firmware on the root of the usb drive, hook it up with the Y cable and start the system. Then, it will prompt to update the firmware. Draxxon
It depends which model you have. Only the later model with the reset hole on the bottom has OTG support out of the box. You still have to hook it up to a PC and use android tools if you have the original model.

AT Games dropped the old instructions. They probably shouldn't have done that.
