Looks good, but you didn't identify the games as being for the Atari 2600 in the titles.  This omission may cost you a lot of hits as many people search by title keywords.

Good luck with the auctions.

Problem solved, I've revised all my auctions to include "for the Atari 2600" in the titles. Thanks for the feedback!!

I don't know what to say... I did enter all the package information, weight, type, etc... it's weird...

I am not 100% certain but I have seen this issue before... I believe that the reason the shipping costs cannot be estimated and displayed is because the seller needs to update the listing and specify a shipping service. It is not enough to simply identify the package type (letter or parcel) and weight; the seller also needs to select a shipping carrier and level of service, for example, Air or Ground, Priority, etc. Once the seller updates the listing with a specific shipping carrier and service level then I believe that the shipping quotes will become available.

I really filled out every fields... regular parcel for domestic shipping, expresspost for international, calculated shipping, everything... went through it twice to make sure... not everyone is asking quotes, so I suspect it's not doing that for everyone...

I"m sure you will have much more success this time around

Going slowly to start, but I guess bids will pick up as the end nears... will see, and the free listings promotion runs until December 1st, so still good to relist after this run... :)

Yeah, eBay is going to make sure they get their cut. At least breaking the lot into multiple auctions seems to be going well. I noticed that one game has over $100 in bids! Congrats.

The worst is the fact that they charge fees on shipping!! Unbelievable... it's like if I'm making money off shipping... and yeah, my rarest game is doing well, the last one who sold in November on eBay was for $170 US dollars... will surely go up as the end nears...

Wow... it gets expensive with eBay and Paypal fees... sold a game through Buy It Now for $20, got $5,43 in fees... over 25%... $4,10 from eBay and $1.33 from Paypal... just wow...

That is the cost of doing business. Without Ebay you would not have had chance to even sell to that person for any amount when you really think about it.

I snagged Adventure and planned on getting a few more to hopefully consolidate shipping. Didn't work out, I lost literally every other auction I bid on. Which is good for you!

Got any other video game or Atari stuff for sale? I think I ebay messaged you as well about it.

I'm out of things to sell. The same buyer won 20 auctions... overall, my sales amount before eBay/Paypal fees, but after removing the shipping cost, is over $600 Canadian dollars, which is super good, considering I couldn't get a single bid for everything in one auction starting at 249.00... :)

The advice received from other members actually paid off. Thanks! :)

Are you using some sort of magic money math there or something? I totaled your Atari sales and it was about ~ $580 CDN before ebay and paypal fees are removed. I see tons of different buyers as well, not one person who bought 20 of the games like you said but maybe I'm missing something there. All can be seen from your completed auctions:

If you end up around $500 after fees it's still double what you couldn't get out of the single listing though so you have a winner no matter how it breaks down.

ralpmontalv0 won 20 auctions for a total of $440,92... I know, I shipped the games to him... and the $600 included the handling fees I charged, because when doing my calculations I've only removed the shipping cost, so the actual bids are around $580 like you say...

Sorry, I didn't even consider that you would be soaking these couple of buyers with $100 in "handling fees". If ebay and paypal took around 15 percent off the top in fees of that $580 that puts you down to ~$500 and you say your take home was $600+ on this round of atari items?  That means you charged at least $100 in handling fees to these few buyers you had? Ouch.  Ebay has rules in place to stop people from doing things like that.

EDIT: Didn't understand what you meant previously, I thought you where saying you charged $100 in handling fees not $2 dollars. That makes a HUGE difference. Sorry for my misunderstanding in that regard. :dunce:

That's not what he said. He originally said "my sales amount before eBay/Paypal fees, but after removing the shipping cost, is over $600 Canadian dollars". You changed it to include ebay/paypal.

I went back and looked at one of his auctions. It was pretty clear that he was charging $2 more than the actual shipping price to cover materials and handling. It's the $2 on 20 or so auctions that put him over $600. I'm not a big fan of handling fees but as long as it isn't a hidden charge I don't complain and just adjust my bid accordingly.

Ya, that's fine. $2 bucks is nothing, I was reading it as he was taking in like $100 on handling fees to go from $500 back to $600. I totally got that part wrong. My bad.
