I'll have to check to see if my TL866II reads 2532 eproms.

I burn mine with ProBurner that I use on my 800XL.

I'd appreciate that, thank you.

I was just going to whip up a uC based burner. I need to make some 5200 game rom chips for another user anyway.

If you can't read it, I can buy one and pay to ship it. I was just trying to save a few dollars of possible.

Are you just needing a 2 port BIOS chip? I'm sure I've got a spare or two from 2 ports I replaced them out with 4 port BIOS chips. I know I have at least one since I installed a 4 port into my 2 port unit in the lab.

I'm always collecting spare parts. So, if they are taking up space, I'll be happy to buy them off of you. However, in this case SoundGammon has a BIOS with a cooler text. I figure I'll make a 3-way selector switch for the upper address, put all 3 roms on the same, larger chip, and make a pin adaptor board. Or something like that.

Okay.. didn't know if you were in need specifically or not. I know I have one 2 port BIOS and several 4 port ones from my donor parts boards.

As always, you rock!

Let me see what I can work out with this first. Might even make something completely new, once I can see the differences between the rom files.

Are know not to work on 2 port systems.  The rest should be fine.  it's weird they are not.  There is a color pot adjustment wheel inside the 5200 you can try adjusting.

For those of us who may not have ever worked on our own 5200 units where would that color trim pot be located at??? I know where the POKEY trim pot is but not the color one

It is the larger trim pot wheel, just off to the right and up of the smaller pokey trim pot, next to the led power light.

Yup, they are caddy-corner about the power indicator LED.

Pause the video at exactly 59 seconds.  Se where he is pointing.

Incorrect, that is the pot to adjust the Pokey for joystick adjustments. The larger one just upper right of the power LED is the color trim wheel.

I'm going to try and copy the chip, a 2532 eprom, and burn it to a 2732 eprom and that way I can upload the image! I'll work on it this week-end. Here's another pic I took one time to show how I changed the text "COPYRIGHT" to "SYSTEM X"! The name of the 5200 before Atari decided on a name.
