VectorGamer
Depending how you look at it, 2019 is the last year of the decade. Which home brew released since 2010 up until now would you say is the best on any classic pre-NES era system? I'm going with what I consider the greatest home brew of all time: Vector Pilot for the Vectrex. Time's yours...
Swami
So, that leaves out the Atari 7800.
+save2600
We should count the 7800's 1984 release. Especially since it was actually designed by then. There have been sooooo many great games made this past decade, truly tough picking just one. If forced, guess I might have to go with Baby Pac because pinball. Hoping we see more pinball homebrews from here on out.

Swami
Baby pac-man, scramble 7800, Rikki and Vikki. I think the only game I’ve played as much as baby Pac-Man in the last few years is Arkyology, but that doesn’t count. i agree with more pinball for the 7800. VectorGamer
I've been playing Scramble for the 2600 a lot. With the Novice setting I can feel satisfied completing the game when I'm not up for a challenge.
Swami
It’s nice to have an eventual ending. It’s either that or just keep on going hypno-boy until the cart fries.
+davidcalgary29
There have been too many outstanding releases recently for this to be a really fair challenge. I mean, half a dozen titles could take the prize for each of the A8, Lynx, or 2600 alone. And should a hardware pusher get a higher grade than a great, simple game with tight code? Maybe break it down into subcategories like “...and they said it couldn’t be done” or even “it sounds this good on THAT?!”.

This isn't a scientific study. Just pick one released in the last 10 years that really knocks your socks off.
Chuck D. Head
I haven't picked up a ton of homebrews, probably ten or so, but I would say the one that has kept me occupied the most and keeps me coming back is Ladybug for 2600. I think Donkey Kong Arcade for Intellivision would be the runner-up.
Blazing Lazers
Vector Pilot, EVIL for the Odyssey 1, Game Pack 1 by Zack Horton for the Odyssey 1, several Vectrex overlays, the Studio II Multicart for its homebrews, War! for the Astrocade, Channel F Pac-Man (if that was this decade), all of these are strong contenders. Tanooki
That Leisure Suit Larry game KHAN did for the NES a year or so back was pretty amazing seeing that on the hardware. The only thing close to that in quality, was the commercial down ported conversion of King's Quest V.
gorf68
Nibbler for the VIC 20 must be up there with the best!
