Well, right now it's just a gif, but maybe if there was a pull for further development... let's say a contest of some sort... ;-)

Haha!  Right.  You just want to start intimidating everybody else so that they never join the competition.  I see right through you ... :grin:

this looks amazing.  I need to learn how to do better graphics.  That is next on my to do list.  I spent all day making music and sound effects, so I'm good in that department.

How many frames does it take for that animation? I need to make a smooth animation of a guy tripping over a rock for my game...lol.

55 frames so far. More will be needed.

Oh, there are additional frames needed for the background.

I just finished animating the top of the wall. Used 4 frames. Check it out.

this is fantastic, I can't believe this is on the Intellivision.  In terms of the hero, is that done in 8 x 16 bits?   How many frames does it take to get him to walk a full cycle in his combat stance?   Looks just like what Jordan Mechner animated using his brother for MOCAP....lol

@Mik's Arcade

I'm using 4 sprites 8 x 16.

10 frames are used for walking in combat stance.

There is also a variation ("half step") that I did not show, which uses 5 frames.

thanks for the tips.  I recently downloaded a free program called Pivot Animator.  It gives you a simple stick figure and allows you to create simple frames and easily manipulate the arms, legs and head so you can try to create a full animation cycle.  I'm hoping this will help me create some smooth animations.  I also have the running man code as a guide, too. Graphics is by far my weak point
