+TwentySixHundred
Got some time to have a good few runs and it plays really well now. The boundary detection is right on point with the correct calls ?Was great fun and the AI variation is spot making it harder to manipulate the computer. Really fun game! I have added the ability to place serve. So now you can place the serve as follows: Start serve with button. When serving at bottom there are 2 serves . 1. Push joystick toward center line to serve down middle. Needs to be pressed at moment of contact with ball not just when pressing button. 2. Button only , or button plus toward sideline will put serve regular When serving at top there are 3 serves. 1. Push joystick toward center line to serve down middle. Needs to be pressed at moment of contact with ball not just when pressing button. 2. Button only will serve regular 3. Push joystick toward sideline to serve wide . This option can result in an ACE, but can also result in a FAULT. This is the only serve that can fault. Double fault will result in point for opponent. easmith
Update in previous post . The one thing that was bugging me still was the flicker on a CRT. Really just the sidelines . In Stella it was hardly noticeable, but I really want it to look good on CRT. So I think I have it now where the flicker is hardly noticeable. Adjusted the colors a bit to where I think it is just right now . Very happy !
easmith
Ok , I made a few final tweaks . For example, The P0 score now shows on left , which is more classic. Also fixed a minor bug in the AI . I think this is pretty much it now at last . There is nothing else on my list to fix . Thanks for all the suggestions ! Might be a cart available at Cleveland Retro Gaming Expo in May. For certain Root/Beer Pong and 1vs1 Baseball will be available then , Peace out ! easmith
patched the flittering AI player . I know I have cried wolf on Final version a few times , but this should be good . I greatly appreciate everyone's patience with my many posts . The AA community is really great and generous . ? devwebcl
No worries, more versions means a better game. Maybe you could start versioning (semantic versioning). Probably this would be 1.2.1

easmith
Was able to play for several hours yesterday . This is the version I have "sent to press " ..... A couple of updates : - fixed issue where AI player would get "stuck" off court after wide serve and you could hot cross -court winner . - improved AI ability to return wide serve. - I had turned off the baseline detection at top of court and not turned it back on . Turned back on ! The AI player is tough but beatable . Practice makes perfect . You really have to strategize and set up your shots . I would rather it be challenging but beatable ( I can win match most of the time) than too easy . Thanks . +sramirez2008
We really need a 1 vs 1 multicart and another multicart for the Pro Golf / Pro Bowling games.

That would be cool. I think one for all of them if it could fit. Golf = 3x 16 K, Tennis= 16 K, Bowling = 8K, Baseball = 16 K , Basketball = 16K. So 104 K . Maybe someday , after these initial releases have all played out/ been forgotten. I have no idea how they work . Someone would have to create a menu, etc. I'm guessing that Albert is probably the only person who has the know-how / resources to get those made . So perhaps down the road if he is interested .
MissCommand
I know it is probably too late to ask for the addition you did on your fabulous Pro Golf (and Pro Bowling) game... female tennis player option? ? Since you asked, I just made a ROM that is female players only ! Will post later tonight when I get home ( I need a flash drive to transfer file since my computer with Stella won't access internet where I currently am ) . I don't think I will do it for the cart release. I would have to move around some things to another bank to make room for the graphics, and also add a bit of code ( other code that affects placement of the racquet has to be adjusted also for different graphic). I'm afraid to touch the cart version for fear of screwing something up .

MissCommand
Thank you, thank you! Loving it! I know it was very late in the game to ask for this, so very kind of you to oblige. ?
easmith
In final testing before cart build , I caught a bug where when you were top player, you could actually move bottom AI player briefly after a shot. I had played for hours and never caught it before. Fixed this, and while I was at it, added some additional variety to bottom AI player movement. Now plays at baseline a bit more when you hit a deep shot. All this just makes me appreciate how hard it must have been to program and test games in the old days before Stella. I can make a change and immediately see the effect . 1v1ProTennisfemale2.0.bin 1 vs 1 Pro Tennis readme.pdf
