SmokeyCFH
Hey guys, My neighbor recently started packing up to move across the country and they found this Atari 2600a but it came with some interesting pieces. I asked my friend that makes his living buying and selling games and hes never seen anything like it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

+Andrew Davie
Well, looks like a standard socket for an EPROM programmer that's been repurposed by hacking an existing cart, turning it into a simple socketed game cartridge for pirate ROMS. Basically you just insert one of the chips and plug in the cart and you're good to go with that game. Definitely a homebrew effort IMHO and interesting but not exactly valuable. SmokeyCFH
Thank you for the reply! It was an interesting find, especially in the original box in decent condition, I just had no idea people did this back in the day. It's pretty cool that it has a toggle switch as well, I assume to play the game on the cartridge as well as the chips that were included. It's worth about $10 to someone who actually wants it.
