Photos where my Arcade Games were found

Here ya go. I went and took some photos to show where some of my games were found. The Phoenix Game, which is my favorite, was found at the gas station/store in White Pine TN. It had sit in the store for 17 years. My Frogger, Zaxxon and Q Bert also had been at this same location. The store closed in 1993. One of the Pole Position machines and the VS. Slalom machine came from the Green Acres Flea Market (old, out of business discount supercenter) in Knoxville, TN. They had been there for at least 10 years. I can remember seeing them that far back. The other Pole Position came from the abandoned mobile home. I was unable to get a photo of it due to overgrowth of vegetation. Anyway, here are my photos and also a photo of me and my favorite game Phoenix. By the way, Anybody, have a Vanguard machine that they would like to part with????

The guy who owns the gas station that is out of business also owns an antique store right up the street from the gas station. I was in his antique store and he told me about the games. I visited him on different occasions and paid him for the games. First, I bought Phoenix, then I bought Frogger and Zaxxon on the same day, then last I bought Q Bert. Pole Position and VS. Slalom were still in use at the flea market when I bought them. They had "for sale" signs on them. So, I paid for them and loaded them up. All of the machines had some amount of money still in them. The VS. Slalom machine had the most in it. It contained over $125.00 in it. I only gave $200.00 for it, so I gues I actually only paid $75.00 for it. The guy at the flea market was selling them for someone else and he had no keys. So, a friend and I loaded them carefully, hoping he would not hear the quarters jingling around inside, he was talking so much , that I guess he wasn't paying attention, because he never opened his mouth and nor did I. So, Me and VS. Slalom, along with my buddy went up the road and didn;t look back!!! LOL! His loss, not mine.

I don't blame you at all. LOL

There is a Mrs Pacman and a Centipede that is at a local flea market. The games have sat there untouched for over 4 years now. There are 4 sale signs on them but the people are asking for $800 a piece. They are not even fully working.

One day I noticed that the Centipede's control panel was loose. I made sure no one was around and sure enough, it swung down (the inner latches were undone). Inside... there were freaking quarters EVERYWHERE! lol They don't have keys for the games either. The coin bucket was overflowing with quarters and there were quarters all over the bottom of the game as well (which in turn may have screwed up the game).

Now if I can just talk them down on price. They don't want to budge though (for the past two years I've been trying to get them to go lower).

Maybe if I just show up with $500 they will let me have them both. I hope so! lol

I would have been tempted to grab a handful of quarters if they were reachable. LOL! Sure, always carry cash with you. Some people just can't let the site of $100 bills get away from them. He may need extra money and say "what the heck, I will take less for them." I am beginning to think that most people here in East Tennessee are stupid because every game I have bought has been way cheaper than what they should have been. Is the Ms. Pac-Man in great condition??? It may be well worth $800.00. I couldn't believe that I bought Phoenix for $100.00. I laughed all the way home. My buddy and I also laughed our butts off all the way back from Knoxville the day I bought VS. Slalom, due to the fact that it was full of money and the idiot I bought it from was too busy running his mouth a mile a minute to notice that it was full of quarters. LOL!!! Good luck on buying the games. Maybe you can talk them down on the prices. I would love to have a Ms. Pac-Man.

Good thing is I have a chance to possibly get a Mrs. Pac (with the multikit in it) for $550 and a MINT Pacman for $450. These are separate deals I'm trying to work from a local seller!

Keeping my fingers crossed and waiting on that tax return check the IRS just sent out! lol

WOW!!

I love those types of stories. Why is it that stories like that only seem to come out of either the east or south east? I'm here in Phoenix, Arizona and cache's like that are either kept secret or just flat out do not exist!

GREAT FIND! :D
