+eebuckeye
No idea why my system will not power on.. I'm trying to determine if it is the system or power supply first. How can I measure the power supply to make sure it is working? I used a multimeter with one probe on the power connector shell and the other on each pin but did not read any DC voltage on any pin. Am I doing this wrong? Any suggestions please? Thank you!
Daedalus2097
So you're not getting any power LED at all, no? Commodore PSUs are inconsistent in their grounding schemes, it's quite likely that the shell simply isn't connected to anything. These are the pinouts for the machine itself - try measuring the 5V and 12V pins against the 0V pin instead of the shield.
+eebuckeye
Thanks for the response! I measured against the ground pin and still nothing so I think it is the PSU - at least that is my first step. I hope that is the entire problem... will see.. Daedalus2097
It's rare enough for Amiga PSUs to die, but it does happen. And, unlike C64 PSUs, when they die, they usually leave the machine unharmed.

If you have one of those, give it a try.
