But what if you don't want that to happen? Is there a way to prevent this? pause restorescreen if pausestate=1 then plotchars 'PAUSED' 5 18 20 return This code pauses the game, but it automatically makes all colors on screen shades of gray. If you don't want it, you could roll your own pause-handler (https://www.randomterrain.com/7800basic.html#pausing) or alternatively you could search std_routines.asm for "colorburst" and comment out the line that contains that word.
