Hey @GDMike   --- super long time, no update?

Earlier in the year I came down with some kind of non stop coughing, my VA appointment is in September, but I've noticed lately that it's subsiding, yay..so annoying, but when I first came down with it I was stuck in the bed for hours and that lasted about 2 months. Now I'm moving much better by just slowing down, which is not my normal nature.

I've been busy lately getting ready to move all my TI stuff over to another little building out back and trying to make a sidewalk etc .. just busy this year.  I've still got a ways to go yet, and it won't stop raining.., but I need shelving put up, cat6 run, more tables brought in etc ..lol

Yup life... Glad you're feeling better. Some respiratory viruses can linger for weeks or even months in the respiratory tract, particularly as we age.

Summer in MN is the time for yard work and outside improvements, so I've had very little time for hobby fun myself. The season up here is so short though that I'll be back in the thick of it in no time :)

Sorry to hear about that.  I have read that a lot of us are Vitamin D deficient these days and that Vitamin D is more important for immune systems than we realized.

(I wonder why I would be low, when I live in the basement with my computers) :)

Anyway I started taking 2000iU back when the pandemic got rolling. I noticed that my Asthma is less of a problem, so there's that.

I think in normal doses it's like chicken soup. It ain't gonna hurt and it might help.

Get well soon.

I need to take high dose Vitamin D (20000 IE) to treat my deficiency. Test results showed 9.8 ng/ml (normal: 20-100).

My doctor said this is a strong deficiency, and that she'd normally advice patients to get out in the sun, but with my skin color (I) she'd rather not recommend that to me. Vitamin D deficiency, or skin cancer.

Well when I started feeling bad I went to my doctor and he did a blood test and x-ray of my chest and then cat scan.

He said my blood test looks good.

so I assume it's okay..

He said my x-ray was clear on my lungs

And the CAT scan came back saying there was abnormalities in the lung nodules.

But he held back and said we don't know what they should look like cuz we have nothing to compare them to so we're going to wait 6 months and we're going to send you for a pulmonary test in Little Rock. And then we'll see what that shows.

This is all back when I was coughing pretty much every hour. But now I'm only coughing for about a half a minute every 5 hours or so.

The cough is still there and I feel like I'm going to pass out when I start coughing and it's always a dry cough. But since I'm nothing like I was back in January I'm probably going to heal myself over time.

If I started coughing all-the-time, for no reason, I'd probably start smoking! 🚬

  🌻GET WELL!🌻

Started getting some things moved into the new little building and somehow slipped on the second level step on my deck, feet went flying and bruised my back real good. Geez...stupid me

Thx. Hopefully I'll be ok by tomorrow. I was making good progress, especially getting that peb into it's place. Funny how I made it down the steps carrying that but it was software that led me down the slick steps..

"Gdmike doomed by peb" for almost real.

Coughing is minimal now. Was able to complete a couple sections of New sidewalk between my house and the workshop. More to do as the weather starts to calm.

Ran Cat 6 to the new computer shop.

Almost ready to get a ti peb / tipi running
