Hoping someone can help clear a question up for me before I take the plunge back into ST world after so long: if I want to fit an Ultrasatan internal to a MegaSTE, do I need to worry whether the Mega STE ever had an HDD and therefore the ACSI to SCSI bridge board, or does the Ultrasatan adapter for Mega STE (as seen on Lotharek's Lair and other places) just replace this anyway? I'm trying to work out if I need to look for a Mega STE with a HDD already or not, or whether any one will do as long as it powers up! Many thanks in advance ? Can not say that it replaces internal adapter (what is ACSI to SCSI adapter), but does what is needed that it works. And you can use external device (like UltraSatan) on external ACSI port of Mega STE without internal ACSI-SCSI board when shortcut 8 data lines at adapter connector: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
