ECS text editor written in IntyBASIC with tape support

Hey all,

 

My idea for the 2020 IntyBASIC competition needed some code to read and write ECS files on tape and scan the ECS keyboard.  Having put something together, I thought it might be useful to others, so here it is with some minimal examples of how to use it:

Hopefully the libraries are written generically enough that they might be useful to others.  I believe everything should work on both JzIntv and real hardware.  Credit where it is due, the core keyboard scanning routine is derived from @intvnut's work, documented here:

 

 

And the tape handling was reverse engineered from the ECS emulation in JzIntv and some hardware fiddling.  Thanks Joe.

 

I've also included a simple single screen ECS editor as a slightly larger demo showing how the libraries can be integrated.  You can see it in operation on real hardware here:
