desiv
Just a reminder. I have two Model 100's now. (My original had a few issues, so I was looking for parts/donor and found another working M100 for a great price..) I ordered a couple of batteries... Opened my original (which I have checked a couple of times), looked decent... I could just see the battery was starting to go bad... Removed it, cleaned it up (vinegar first, then IPA) and added the new battery. Works great. Then I opened the new (to me) one, and I could see more dying battery stuff there... Removed it, and as I was cleaning it, some of the solder mask came right off... Luckily, it appears to have only been cosmetic / superficial damage. Cleaned it all up (vinegar and then IPA again) replaced it, and it's working great. But had I shelved that new one for a while, not sure what would have happened. If you haven't before, you should probably open your M100 and check the battery..

(I can do quick checks of sites like Atariage on my breaks, but I don't do my retro shopping from work.. ) (Note: Work is Salem, but home is Lincoln City..)
