CaptainCanadian
Has anyone else given these a go? I've played a ton of the games on each app. For those of you new to these emulators I'll give you a quick run down. 3DsenVR - Is a little app on steam that 'converts' NES games into VR. The effect is really cool and I think it breathes new life into the system's games. I've played through the entirety of Mega Man in VR and I have to say, it beats the hell out of gaming on a flat screen. It's like watching a little cartoon diorama. Highly recommend it if you have a Vive or Oculus. Dolphin - Is a Wii/GC emulator that has a VR 'fork'. I've played most of the library in VR and if you give it a go you MUST try Paper Mario TTYD and Megaman Command Mission. It's as though the games were built specifically for VR. Rogue Squadron is a great example too, if you play in cockpit mode, you can experience the feeling of flying a starfighter, well the front of it anyway against the empire. Star Destroyers are enormous and you really get a feeling of being there. PPSSSSPP - I've tried quite a few in this mode, the RPGs are easily the best. You'd think they'd be flat but the 3D levels translate very well into VR and the sprites look like paper mario. It's really a cool effect. I'm not sure why game companies haven't capitalized on this experience. I much prefer VR done this way, it gets rid of the nausea as you're basically in a seated position watching the game play out infront of you. This was the way I imagined the future to be when I was a kid, playing all my childhood memories out in 'reality'. I'm currently taking a game course through my university, and I'm fully intent on marrying the 16 bit world to VR. It's simply a wonderful experience and gives you a real sense of what it must have been like for Captain N. Anyone else tried these?
