+Random Terrain
Hey Atari researchers, for someone who only searches newspapers from the 1970s to the 1990s, is the $8 plan good enough or do I need the $20 plan at newspapers.com? Do you get more pages from those years with the $20 plan? They say you get 433 million+ additional pages licensed from publishers for the 20 bucks, but are any of those pages from the 1970s, 1980s, or 1990s? https://www.newspapers.com/choose-a-plan/ Thanks. Update: I finally got a reply from Newspapers.com: Quote Thank you for contacting Newspapers.com. Our Newspapers Basic subscription covers content anywhere from the 1700's up to the year 1922. Almost everything 1923 and after is still under copyright and is the Publisher's Extra content. There are some exceptions to this dependent on the newspaper, but 1923 is typically the copyright year. An agreement with the copyright holders/publishers has been made to be able to digitize these records. We had to pay more to get permission to upload that content to our website, and therefore require an upgraded subscription level, Publisher's Extra. With this level we are able to provide access to our customers to content as recent as last month. Available dates may vary depending on the specific newspapers. If it's too long and you didn't read, you have to select the more expensive plan if you are interested in anything after 1922. TheVgaTv
If you go to their front page you can browse the papers by region and it will tell you how many pages they have from date ranges 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/313145-atari-researchers-8-or-20-plan-at-newspaperscom/#findComment-4670015 Share on other sites
