Songbird
For anyone who likes to collect cartridge styles, I recently found my last remaining black PCB cartridges. These carts look like this: I stopped producing this style around 2016 in favor of the curved lip style I now offer for all Songbird games. I only have this older style available for Crystal Mines II: Buried Treasure, Ponx, and SFX. Quantities are extremely limited and this style will never be produced again. In case you're curious, this black PCB is actually the third cart style released by Songbird. The first was a tall green PCB, and the second was a shorter green PCB. When I got started in 1999, I did actually intend to have a black PCB with a flush TSOP chip in the center of the board, similar to the late 1990s Telegames releases. However those were produced by ICD back when they were still an active Atari company, and it didn't work out beyond a couple of sample carts I received. BadPricey
I bought Championship Rally from Telegames in the UK and when it arrived it was on a cart like this. At first I was gutted because it's also available on a curved lip version but now i know this version is a little more unique I'm well pleased with it ?
+jgkspsx
My old copy of Remnant is on one of these. SFX and SIMIS are on the green PCBs. I feel safer with the plastic cards, probably for no real reason, and always treat these with kid gloves.
Songbird
In practice I think all the carts are pretty durable. Pretty cool that you have been collecting that long! Probably most fans don't have such a variety.
