flashing Power indicator?

Question is as simple as:

When running my Lynx with AC adapter power, i notice the orange power light tends to flick on and off.  Seemingly at random.  Is this normal?  Indicative of something?

I almost never play with batteries, so, not sure if the same thing occurs on batteries.

I think the power light pulses on and off to indicate low power, although that should not happen when running it from an AC adaptor, so either...

a) Something other than a source power issue is causing it

b) A bad power connector/cable is creating causing brown outs (try wiggling the cable near the connector and see if it goes off completely or makes it worse) or

c) Maybe your power adaptor is failing.

It is also likely that the actual LED itself isn't staying connected enough on the mylar if this is a Lynx II because the power LEDs are literally just taped onto the traces with masking tape material. I've got brand new mylar flexes from Best that have loose power LEDs and I have to reinforce with kapton tape to make them tighter.

Hmmm...thanks for the reply.  It's a Lynx II.  Just to be sure, the AC adapter i am using is PAG-1200...this is the OEM, right?

I plan to get my lynx recapped when my modder has free time.  I should have done it when he did the screen but i didnt want to spend the $$..will ask him to lok at the LED power light when i do.....
