How the heck do you save in DM?

Using WHDload, Dungeon Master just not saving my save in the game, did it the first time but ever since its just not saving any progress or new saves, what is the problem here?  Using a 1200 for this game, thanks

Writes to disk are typically cached by WHDLoad until you quit the game. Have you quit the game properly using the WHDLoad hotkey to see if that works? Alternatively, that behaviour can be disabled, but it will cause flashing screens as the saves are conducted.

 

There's also the possibility that the slave isn't fully working. Try updating both WHDLoad *and* the slave to the latest versions and see if that helps.

Thanks Daedalus, I'll give that a try tonight.  Should I save the game and then quit using F10 to make sure the save works rather than continuing to play?

Yeah, I'd do that as a test first, before you go too far and lose an evening's progress... If you read the WHDLoad readme, you'll find details on setting a tooltype for disabling that behaviour and writing immediately when the game tries to save. IIRC it's NOWRITECACHE, but I can't remember for sure.
