Kchula-Rrit
While trying to load object files with EA3, I found that an object file larger than 5254 (>1486) bytes will fail with "Error 3." An file of 5254 bytes will load normally. After disassembling the TI LOADER code, I did not find any indication of a file-size limitation. I found this using TI994w, most recent version. Have not tried it in a real TI, yet. K-R. Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/314784-ea3-object-file-size-limit/ Share on other sites

My fbForth 1.0 object file is 44 KiB and it loads just fine in Classic99 and on real iron, though I distribute it as a compressed object file of ~20 KiB to conserve space. I have not tried TI994w in a long time. I will try it ere long and get back to you. ...lee Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/314784-ea3-object-file-size-limit/#findComment-4703230 Share on other sites
Kchula-Rrit
Thanks for checking, good to know that big files will load on the real thing, if nothing else. I have some new hardware to install in that computer (my Win98 machine), after which I'm going to reload everything. K-R.
