damosan
Hello - I recently got a pretty nice 1200 which I upgraded with a 030 card. It's a smoking little rig. I need pointers on graphics upgrades for this machine so I can do away with the flickering high res - I'm using a scart to HD upscaler. Thank you. D. +OLD CS1
If you can find one, an Indivision AGA would give you DVI/VGA output with native Amiga screen modes. Otherwise, a standard flicker-fixer on the Amiga RGB output would help.
damosan
Such as this? https://icomp.de/shop-icomp/en/shop/product/Flickerfixer_Scandoubler.html Edited December 21, 2020 by damosan
Daedalus2097
Yeah, that's about as good as you're gonna get. The other main high-end option is the OSSC, but that won't get rid of the flicker. There are less substantial options if you have a VGA input instead. In many cases, a simple RGB-VGA cable or adaptor is all that is needed since the A1200 can use modes like DblPAL No Flicker on a VGA display which have the same resolution but without the interlace.
