bbking67
I got this with my Amiga 500 and it fits several of the Amiga ports on the back... What the heck is it for? I guess I'll have to pull it apart and have a look. Any guesses? Could it be for the external floppy? Or video?
Daedalus2097
Hmmm, if it's 23-pin then it should only fit the floppy port or the RGB port - the other large ports are 25-pin serial and parallel, and you might bend pins forcing it into them. My guess is some sort of dongle for copying copy-protected disks using an external drive, but I've never seen one before. Looks like a DIY job. My first inclination was that its a write protect for the external floppy drive, but the after market drive that it came with has a write protect switch on the back... let me crack this puppy open! bbking67
So you are correct... Seems to be a Syncro II device... I guess to copy protected disks.
