Greetings x=usr(1536) Thanks for interest and support! hmmm... an interesting question, the lesser current power source I used is a 500 mA one; and via measurement, the hard disk shall require 300 mA or more when writing to SD card. Probably the joystick port can be very restricted or insufficient. There are users that are powering the device directly from the Atari ST/E internal 5 volts line.
