justclaws
Hi all, I was looking for a long time to get a Philips g7400 and now I believe I have a working one coming. I looked in this forum for some answers, without success, so I apologise if the answer is well-known. - if the keyboard membrane becomes faulty, is there a way to replace this? (I saw repair ideas.) - has anybody exchanged the membrane for a full replacement keyboard, even only as a project. - is there any way to get the g7420 to operate in the g7000/Odyssey2 mode, with Videopac+ games? - if I want to run my own code, is there any cartridge I can ACTUALLY get to do this, or only via eproms? - Has anybody made videos of all the Videopac+ games running in g7000 and enhanced g7400 mode? Thank you for any help. Richard.
Ricardo Cividanes da Silva
Hi @justclaws Here in Brazil the Odyssey2 or as it is better known, Philips Odyssey, was very popular but I really found an only video with all games: About the keyboard, I only saw recupered keyboards. I believe as must easy fix it what replace his. I saw keyboards recupered with conductive pen.

Thank you for any help. Richard. If you are referring to an SD romcart, contact wilco2009, they have done a device with a digital display. It works great and most existing homebrew should work on it (I had a few that didn't, but I think in most cases these are historical emulator based homebrew which didn't have a way of testing on real hardware) . I presume it accounts for 7400 differences but ask and double check. It should run in 7000 mode even if it doesn't (and 7400 roms run in 7000 mode as intended for 7000 machines). 1
