Atari_Bill
Out of curiosity, are there machines out there that are lost to time? That is we know they existed with photographic proof, but nobody knows of one that’s still in existence.
Hakogame 箱亀
The Bouncer, I don't think anyone has ever found one even though it was location tested and appeared in the background of a movie. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
Keatah
Earth Friend Mission and F-14 Tomcat. Both are vector graphic flight simulator styled games.
DavidD
I thought there was an early Atari arcade game that no one had access to ... I remember reading something like that recently.
Tornadoboy
Bouncer is the holiest of holy grails as far as lost games, sadly I'm getting the impression it's gone for good A few others: - Spellsinger - Gremlins - Williams Devastators - Vertigo

F-14 Tomcat would later be the name of an amazing pinball game. I have it in the game room of my comic shop.
sirlynxalot
There was a Doom II arcade machine in a 90s movie. Very sure it was a 1 of 1 custom made prop (though the game on the screen moved, so it was either playing a movie or maybe there was a PC in the cab), but in any case, I doubt its survived. There've been modern day stories and a PC "remake" or "simulation" or two.
YexxenBlaster
There's a few machines that are all but extinct in the wild, with only Funspot in NH having them (probably donated.) Robot Bowl Triple Hunt/Hit the Bear Dominos Destroyer Pong Doubles Wheels Safari Drag Race There's also Watergate Caper, an early arcade game released by Nutting Associates (Computer Space company) that has no other info online except for a flyer. YexxenBlaster
Also, a running joke of mine: Pong in a Barrel. Yes, this actually existed. It was round the '70s, and it had a barrel-shaped cabinet. Gameplay was exactly the same as normal Pong. Puppy Pong could be considered extinct too; AFAIK it was used at Chuck E Cheese on tables while you were waiting for your shitty pizza. If I could find someone who has these, then I'd put them in the arcade I'm planning near me!
lymontyme
The late great Ken Uston mentioned a couple of Pacman bootlegs that I have never seen: - New Puck-One - Might be the same as Puck-X. If so, KLOV reports 2 owners of it, but both only have the PCB's. - Mazeman - KLOV doesn't even have this one listed, but at least one existed as of 2008: https://www.rotheblog.com/2008/11/arcade/photos-of-rare-pac-man-bootlet-mazeman/

I have been looking for this game for YEARS!!!!!!! The Sil made a version for HBMame, but he could only go by the description in the book, and no idea what the monsters name was. Someone needs to find this game and dump the roms!! BTW.... There is an upright version as well..... https://www.rotheblog.com/2010/03/classic-arcade-games/maze-man-arcade-game-lawton-oklahoma/ Plus another pic from an auction web page. This is the clearest screenshot so far to date: Edited June 7 by scotty

I've always wondered what that looked like... or if it was ever made.

That upright looks so sweet. While we're waiting for the real thing, thanks for the tip on HBMame. I tried out the Sil version and it ain't half bad. The non-straight corridors are every bit as annoying as I thought they'd be. 18 hours ago, DavidD said: I feel like one copy of his Pac-Man guidebook included a mail in form for a "Pac-Man Tie." And yes, Pac-Man is in there. He basically refers you to his first book, but does include the PK pattern that will get you through several boards. (In his own words: "Yes, the K is for Ken.")
