+Karl G
Well congrats, anyway. The game is definitely well executed. I hope I get a chance to try it out with a bunch of other players sometime. 1

Yeah...I have to believe that they didn't get a chance to fully experience the game. Congrats Thomas! Its a wonderful game and I can't wait to show it off whenever we resume our game nights.?

I am waiting for real feedback somewhere in the future. ideally when covid-times are in the rear view mirror, @ZeroPage Homebrew can do an on air quadtari multiplayer fest or maybe get Darcy to do one at the store. alternately, the next big gaming convention, but ZPH happens more frequently than those so it'll probably be easier for James to do something. we'll see!
Thomas Jentzsch
James already tested this in his show. But it is quite hard to control 4 cars each.

Velvis
I noticed people would get confused about which paddle is which player when I've set up Medieval Mayhem at the Houston Arcade Expo. In 2016 I did this, worked well. Where did you get the stickers? Sent from my Surface Duo using Tapatalk

Was going to say I don't remember as it was over 5 years ago, but a closer look at the photo reveals: Office Depot 837 - 423 / 24964460 which are white mailing seals. I created a 4 page document with a large rectangle of the solid color on each page, then ran them thru my color laser printer. By the text at the bottom of the package, they're comparable to the Avery 5247.
JeremiahK
Been busy lately and somehow missed this. Saw an early version played on a ZeroPage Homebrew video, and that's how I discovered it. Amazing game! I love how simple yet perfect it is!
Thomas Jentzsch
VROOM! got nominated (not by me ) for the Atari Homebrew Awards. There are LOTS of great, new games waiting to be discovered by YOU! So head over, play the games and VOTE for your favorites! +bhall408
Late to the party... We didn't have it in time for ZPH Awards, but we earlier this month started adding paddle support to Argon. Further, we did a custom layout for this game (set in the server meta-data) to indicate it is a "1 button" game, so you only get the fire button, and no paddle. (See picture below) We're considering adding a button on each edge of the screen, so 4 people could play it sitting around the same phone/tablet. For extra credit, we could number the buttons, and/or instead of having them be a fire button, be an accelerator pedal. I'd love to see this expand to a larger 2600 game and/or an 800 game so that there could be a menu for all of the options (ie, couch compliant). But that isn't holding back the fun as it is!
Thomas Jentzsch
Thanks for the support. Though I doubt that many people will play the game at once on a phone or even a tablet. The final version is couch compliant. The top player is the master who can restart via fire button.

Thomas Jentzsch
Thanks for playing my game in the show. Probably we should add something like "Warning: Might cause brain damage!" or "If it is too hard to take, you are just too weak" to the packaging. I suppose this would boost the sales.
