Has anyone actually used this to repair a Lynx?

 

I know a few people have asked that question in the past but no one seems to have actually answered/done it?

I got one response to the same ? awhile back.  I guy said he lived near estarland and had purchased things from them but never had repairs done.  I read some pretty bad reviews online.  That's why I have yet to use them.  Of course we all know that usually only disgruntled customers leave feedback.  Happy campers just go on campin'.

I've never used them since I've been repairing consoles myself the past 2 decades. But I did repair a Truboduo they worked on previously for someone and it was a disgrace. So my take is its probably a toss up on quality

Hmm this doesn't exactly sound promising!

 

Well instead I've just ordered a full recapping kit from eBay for about $8.  It's been about 20 years since I did electronic engineering at university but time to bust out the old soldering iron I guess?!  Not feeling entirely confident about it, but doesn't sound like I could do much worse than sending it to eStarland (who never replied to my email asking for details of their service either)

If there's anyone in the Toronto area of Canada that does this regularly then please drop me a note...  Definitely worth a few beers or some cash...!
