UPDATE JUNE 1, 2021:  I've edited my initial review to reflect the many changes implemented by @intvdave based on mine and other players' feedback.  The review is now focused on the final release of the game, and represents my personal views from my experiences playing that edition.  The original review of the initial prototype is reproduced in full at the bottom, for historical purposes.       I've had the pleasure of getting an early copy of the latest game from @intvdave,
