chevymad
Just curious if possible. I have a sweet little microsoft bluetooth keyboard that would be really cool to use as my XEL keyboard. I just received my fujinet and only just discovered it had bluetooth even.
Quiver
Given that SIO could be said to be USB v0.5 there is no reason it can't, but I suspect that this would be a low priority for the developers at the moment. I mean you would have to writhe the code for the Fujinet, then you need to write a device handler to replace the device handler that is in the OS in the first place.

The issue is that the only I/O interface is over SIO, and it is nominally running at 19200, (or higher, if high speed is enabled). The current SIOV routines basically stop everything in the computer as they service the set of interrupts for each SIO transaction. So basically, you'd see pauses as keypresses came across. -Thom
tschak909
So you would need to use a method similar to concurrent mode, which would take over the bus whenever other devices aren't running... This can get a bit messy in practice. -Thom
+bcombee
I was just thinking about this and thinking that it could be done with a hardware modification that uses some additional I/O lines to simulate a PS/2 keyboard? You would then need to wire this into a homebrew PS/2 to Atari keyboard interface. If this capability were developed, it could be really useful with a design like the 576NUC+ where its internal FujiNet could connect into the PS/2 port already in place. I might try prototyping this with one of my other ESP32 dev boards just to get an idea of the project scope.

I'm all for gaining insight. -Thom
