zzip
In summary: * Official name seems to be NGVR (next gen VR) * resolution: 2000x2040 (about 4x resolution of current headset) * FOV: 110 degrees (vs 100 on current headset) * New motion controllers will come with the new VR, and they are NOT PS Move-based (yay!) * Haptics in the headset * Uses foveated rendering, flexible scaling resolution, and eye tracking.. what this means in layman's terms is it will render in the sharpest detail the area of the screen you are looking at, and stuff in your peripheral vision can be rendered in lower detail... this reduces the processing resources which allows more intensive games to be developed in VR. * Sony is reportedly going to focus more on AAA VR games this generation and less on the type of "VR experiences" that we saw in PSVR1
Punisher5.0
Hopefully they can get Alyx. That would seriously make me consider getting the PSVR2

zzip
I'm not surprised it's not backwards compatible with the old one. I've been telling people not to expect that for awhile now, the tech is too different. But people kept telling me I was wrong.
