Is Amiga´s Silkworm better than the arcade?

I am trying to figure out which version to play.

I do believe the Amiga version of Rodland is superior to the arcade, however

I have seen videos of both version, and I agree. But

when you complete the arcade version, you get a sequel. This sequel can be accessed with a code, so you don´t have to complete it first.

 

So i am going to play the Amiga version first, then the arcade version.

Why not just play them and decide yourself?

 

I'd say they are pretty close...it's probably one of the better Amiga ports out there, maybe a little bit too easy though.

One problem with playing the Amiga version if the arcade version is the best one, is that we might complete it on the first attempt, which would make me not want to even try the arcade version.

 

If we don´t complete it on the first attempt, we might get a lot further than we would on the arcade version. At least if there are more lives on the Amiga version, which it usually is in console versions of arcade games. Then it would be pretty boring to play the arcade version, and not get as far as we did on the Amiga version.

 

I am really going back and forth on which version to play. Originally I preferred the arcade version due to the better graphics. Then I preferred the Amiga version due to more spectacular sound effects, and more appropriately sized vehicles. But now I am back at the arcade version again due to grahics, but also music, and I am starting to find the Amiga sound effects a bit too much (annoying).

I have seen videos of it, and I think it is a good port, but not as good as the arcade.
