5200 OE HSC Challenge 09/2021 Defender

Our game for September is the classic, Defender. Play on HARD setting. Use original 5200 systems and Atari mfg controls, -1HSC pt for use of the Wico, or other period analog sticks. The only modern tech allowed, are flashcarts/SD loaders, running original Roms. Pics preferred, but not required, except for HSC wins and records.

Round ends when month does.

It is. However, I've had some requests to work it in, on this setting, mix it up some.

It’s easily my favorite setting, just too easy otherwise.  The standard sticks do make things more difficult, though.

I suck at this one on just about everything, except the TI994/a, for some reason. I can roll it on that.

Ok, for me, the Wico makes this game too easy, even on Hard

I may well return to the CX52 … would like to see how much I can improve on this game while using it.

September goes to DamonicFury for that blistering performance! Tripling one's own HSC record is hardly an everyday event. That's not to take away from other nice scores turned in either. Thanks to all who played, and I'm working on our next round now. I should also be able to play once again, this month.
